Do you remember the commercial? "CORN FLAKES, taste them again for the first time!" I think you could advertise SMOOTH JAZZ (as DREW plays it) the same way -- "SMOOTH JAZZ, taste it again for the first time!" Saturday night (9/29) at Borders in Lutherville was an ideal place and time to taste SMOOTH JAZZ for the first time. It was really very tasty!

I am not a Jazz aficionado. I have only listened to it off and on for about 50 years; and maybe more 'on' during the last 2 years. When I was younger (teens) I might have quickly surfed past the Jazz stations in search of other choices -- Classical; Rock; Classical Rock; Easy Listening. Classical has always been my #1 choice.

Don't surf past this Jazz musician -- DREW DAVIDSEN. He's not the Jazz you thought you couldn't like when you were younger. DREW is SMOOTH! Baby. At Borders, DREW cruised up to the coffee tables and connected with the VIBES of the audience. He did a few CRAZY riffs to show off his dexterity, but mostly DREW was just JAZZY SMOOTH! What I heard tonight was a GIFT from the KING of CREATIVITY (that would be the SMOOTH SPIRIT of the LORD! Amen!). Way to go DREW! Good time.
